- Luanne
- Luanne has spent her entire life involved in music. She was able to sing over 100 songs at the age of 2 and was raised in a family that enjoyed sharing music. She began piano lessons at 10 years old and has taught piano since 1977. She has accompanied various instrumental and singing groups, pianist at churches, played for weddings, funerals and musicals. A graduate of Azusa Pacific University in piano performance, she has also earned national and state certification in piano (Nationally Certified Teacher of Music). Since March 2008, she has studied the Taubman Technique, an in-depth physiological approach to piano technique which both prevents and relieves injuries sustained by musicians. To ensure her continued growth both as a teacher and a musician, she studies and practices piano regularly, participates in workshops, master classes and music teachers’ conventions, reads professional journals and books on music and teaching and attends concerts regularly. She is also a member of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) and WSMTA (Washington State Music Teachers Association).
